Terms of Service
The short version: Lagniappe is free, price and special info comes from participating stores, and we send you into the store — we never process the sale.

Welcome to Lagniappe. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Lagniappe mobile app and the lagniappegrocery.com website (together, the “Service”), operated by Phoenix AI Consulting (“Lagniappe,” “we,” “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The Service
Lagniappe is a free app that helps you find nearby grocery stores, compare prices on everyday and fresh items, and discover local specials. Lagniappe is a discovery and comparison tool — it is not a shopping cart, checkout, or delivery service. Every path in the app ends with information to help you visit a store in person (directions, hours, or a phone number); we do not process orders, payments, or deliveries of any kind.
Store-provided information
Prices, item availability, specials, and store details shown in Lagniappe are provided directly by participating stores through the merchant portal. We do our best to keep this information current, but stores update it on their own schedule, and prices and availability can change between updates.
Always verify in store
Accounts
You can use Lagniappe without an account (“guest mode”). Creating an account lets you save favorites, watch items, and receive deal alerts. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete account) or by contacting tyler@phoenixconsulting.ai.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or automate access to the Service in a way that degrades it or extracts data in bulk;
- Misrepresent your identity, impersonate a store, or submit false information;
- Interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the Service.
Merchants
Stores that manage their listing through the Lagniappe merchant portal are responsible for the accuracy of the information they publish (prices, hours, specials, item details). We may remove or correct listings that are inaccurate, fraudulent, or otherwise violate these Terms.
Intellectual property
The Lagniappe name, logo, and app design are owned by Phoenix AI Consulting. Store, product, and pricing information displayed in the app is owned by the respective merchants or public data sources (for example, Open Food Facts) and is used with permission or under an applicable open license.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that price, availability, or store information will be accurate, complete, or up to date. We do not guarantee that any store will honor a price or special shown in the app — always confirm with the store.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Phoenix AI Consulting is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on price, availability, or store information shown in the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount (if any) you paid to use it — which for shoppers is zero, as Lagniappe is free.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for anyone who violates these Terms.
Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service or these Terms from time to time. We'll update the effective date above when we make material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
